I had a very special reason for wanting to see ETA Anthony Von in concert. A few weeks ago while I was getting ready to see the Darren Evorglens and Friends concert at the Bronte Legion, I watched Richard Wolfe's previously recorded podcast (I like to know something about the ETAs before I meet them). When Richard was asked why he became an ETA, he answered that when he was a boy he saw Anthony Von perform, and he thought to himself, "I want to be like him!" Anthony is the perfect role model for any young artist who aspires to be a professional ETA. You would expect an award winning ETA to have a great voice, a great look, and great moves, and Anthony has all three. He looked handsome in his black suit and yellow and red shirts. And what a voice! But as I pointed out in Keeping His Memory Alive, it takes much more than looks, moves, and voice to ensure longevity in an ETA's career. Anthony had great rapport with his audience during his performance yesterday, and when it came time for photos, Anthony's warm, friendly personality shone through. His caring and accommodating manner during the photo opt, was quite endearing. Anthony is a true professional who honours the memory of Elvis Presley with his talent and charming persona. And because Anthony Von "has it all", Richard Wolfe could not have picked a better role model to emulate.
